Improve your readability - No one likes mediocre work.

Playing “Like You by Tatiana Manaois” in the background.

Mental Imagery: You’re building self-confidence to unapologetically show up as a badass writer. Alexa is playing the background music to give you extra motivation to start your day. Here’s to leveling up your writing and crushing Day 2 of growth.

Welcome to Day 2 of becoming a better writer. On the crew today, still me, Ngozi-Olehi Munachimso, your captain and host for today.

Today, we are parting with mediocre writing and embracing excellence as the standard. We are laying the foundation for improved readability by addressing bad punctuation, poor grammatical structures, and wrong editing practices.

Just because you’ve written your first draft and the ideas are so brilliant, that doesn’t mean you should publish your first, unrefined draft.

No writer, not even the world’s best, publishes first drafts. There is always lots of editing and proofreading before the last publication meets the public eye.

(You are most likely comparing your first draft with a refined work that has passed through professional editors. Of course, you’ll struggle with self-doubt if you do this. Stop trying to compete where you can’t compare).

Editing is for clarity and refining. Forget the use of grammar shenanigans, and just write to pen down ideas.

Edit ruthlessly to “remold” your work and make it more presentable.
